Covid-19 Heroes

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the lives of workers in Illinois and across the nation. In an effort to honor the heroic work being done by union members in our communities, the Chicago Federation of Labor and Illinois AFL-CIO are collaborating on a video project to capture this moment in history. We are soliciting videos from union members about their experiences, whether the story is heartwarming or heartbreaking, during the pandemic. These videos do not need to be professionally produced – they can be as simple as a “selfie” video from a smartphone. Union members should speak to what this pandemic has meant to them, their sisters and brothers, and their communities. Videos can be as short or as long as needed; there is no time requirement.

In times of crisis, the labor movement has demonstrated once again that it is the backbone of Chicago and Illinois. Please, help us capture the sacrifices being made during this crisis by sharing your story with us today.
